Boeing vs Airbus: November 2025 Deliveries - Who's Winning the Race? (2026)

Boeing's November: A Tale of Two Aircraft Giants

The race is on! Boeing has revealed its November deliveries, and while it's an impressive feat, it still falls short of its rival, Airbus. But here's where it gets controversial: can Boeing's recent orders and performance turn the tide, or will Airbus maintain its lead?

In November 2025, Boeing delivered a total of 44 commercial aircraft, a slight dip from the previous month. The majority of these were the single-aisle Boeing 737 MAX family, with a few 787 Dreamliners and freighters thrown into the mix. This pales in comparison to Airbus's 72 jet deliveries in the same month.

A Closer Look at Boeing's Deliveries

Boeing's deliveries saw a 17% decrease month-over-month, with a notable drop from 53 to 44 aircraft. Over 70% of these were 737 MAX models, with 32 MAX deliveries to 18 different customers. This included orders from major carriers like Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and United Airlines.

Notable Boeing Deliveries in November 2025

  • AerCap: 2 x 737 MAX
  • Air Lease Corporation: 1 x 787-10
  • Alaska Airlines: 2 x 737 MAX
  • American Airlines: 3 x 737 MAX, 1 x 787-9
  • BOC Aviation Limited: 2 x 737 MAX
  • And more, including orders from Oman Air, Lufthansa, and VietJet Air.

The Dreamliner and Freighter Deliveries

Boeing also delivered six 787 Dreamliners, with two of these being the 787-10 models for TAAG Angola Airlines, marking a significant milestone for the African carrier. Additionally, there were four 767 freighter and two 777 freighter deliveries, with Turkish Airlines and Aerotranscargo receiving the latter.

A Boost in Orders, But Can Boeing Keep Up?

Despite slower deliveries, Boeing had a remarkable month in terms of orders. The planemaker secured 126 net new orders, with a significant portion being for the upcoming 777X widebody. The largest order came from Emirates, which ordered 65 additional 777Xs, a deal worth billions. This puts Emirates at the forefront of Boeing's new widebody product, with a total of 270 orders.

The Full-Year Outlook: A Clearer Picture

As we approach the end of 2025, both Boeing and Airbus have a better understanding of their annual delivery figures. Boeing has delivered a total of 537 jets so far this year, with almost 400 being 737 MAXs. The company has also secured over 900 new net orders, a promising sign for future growth.

And this is the part most people miss...

While Boeing is on track for its highest annual delivery since 2018, it still has a way to go to match its 2018 achievement of 806 deliveries. Airbus, on the other hand, recently downgraded its full-year estimate to 790 aircraft, due to supplier quality issues with the Airbus A320. However, Airbus's all-time highest annual delivery was in 2019, with an impressive 863 deliveries.

So, the question remains: Can Boeing maintain its momentum and close the gap with Airbus? Or will Airbus continue to dominate the skies? We want to hear your thoughts! Comment below and let's discuss this exciting aviation race.
